I had my first patient today. She came in complaining that her stomach had been hurting for over 2 years and that she has diarrhea two or three times a day. She also stated that she does not eat well and that her head hurts. When we examined her, she had epigastric tenderness. This pain could be from eating spicy foods, drinking coffee or sodas.
