Clinic in Choacaman

Today the guys and I went to Choacaman for clinic. We had a small clinic of 8 patients.

We had two diabetics who were well controlled. We had a gentleman with a small hernia. He is on blood pressure medicine and does not have the best pulmonary status so he needs to see Lisa. One lady had not returned for her blood pressure medicine for several months and she was very elevated. I talked to her for quite a while about it. Her husband died four years ago and she has seven young children that she is responsible for. She lives close to the clinic and does not have to pay since she she is a widow.

We also had a pregnant couple return for their second visit. I gave them the photo I took of them two months ago. They are so excited since this is their first baby.

Tomorrow afternoon will be the baptism of one of the patients that lives in Choacaman. How exciting for this lady as she begins her life as a Christian! The life that she has here is very difficult but now she will have the promise of eternal life!
II Peter 3:11-13
Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about destruction of the heavens by fire and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a hew heaven and a new earth, the home of the righteousness.

All who are Christians look forward to that day we have been promised.

Tomorrow after clinic, Lisa, Kemmel and I will go to the coast. The surgical group will arrive in the afternoon for a week of surgery. Please pray for our safe travels and the safe arrival of the group.

It should be a great week........................I hope someone has told Charlie that we have 5 neuro cases for him :):):)
