Day in Panajachel

I met everyone this morning in Chichi. Kemmel visited with us for a few minutes and then later today he returned to The City. Jordan prayed everyone would have safe travels today and then we were on the road.

The clouds and mist developed as we got closer to Lake Atitlan. We stopped along the way for some photos and then went to a park where there is a zip line that we were hoping to do. Unfortunately, because of the rain, we were told we could not do it. We decided just to hike around the park area and make the best of the day. We found some monkeys who were eager to entertain us and some coatis.

This was a shot of the group as they crossed a swinging bridge. Manuel and Juan were able to go with us. Outings like this are special to the guys and they also enjoyed the the hike.
There were a few waterfalls as we walked along........
.....and even though we were unable to do the zip line, they braved the platform!
After about 2 hours of walking we went to have lunch on the lake and then do a little shopping. Jordan, Brett and Aaron bought paintings. Kassi wanted a purse that I think she will find a way to go back and get! Melina helped people with the bargaining and eventually found the Sarita's ice cream store.

As we made our way back to Chichi, Kassi stopped and bought flowers to take to Juana, Gaspar's wife.

Last night, Aaron took a cake home to his family and being the good example he is :):) made sure everyone finished their meal before they had their dessert.

The group is ready for tomorrow and hopefully we will have a good clinic in Chutzurob.

Brett- How thankful I am that ya'll all had such a great day. Reminders of the monkeys at the zoo...hope yours there weren't such performers....Anyway, I will have to call CF next week, as nobody can find signs of mail from them. My Verizon mechanism is breaking again, so somehow I'm on Linksys-I may be more sporadic, but am not far from the library, and I'm not sure how I'm getting this, but it's working fine!!! I plan to cancel that contract. It will cost, but I've had it with them. Sheri, hope you don't mind this letter....Okay. Pictures were great of all. Sheri, they mean so much, and it is great that God blessed all of you with such a beautiful and relaxing day. Elizabeth's brother had a little comment about the teeth!!! It was cute, and nice, as you'd expect!!

Love you, Brett-
Mama
