When we arrived Baldimare, the minister in Montellano, was talking to the crowd. I counted 19 buses plus many, many vans and trucks.
People sat on chairs and blankets during the day as the prizes were given to the students. Some of the students even sang in English!
Alejandra, Violeta and Carlos called the childrens names as they came forward to receive their gifts. The big prize this year was bikes for the children who did well in their classes.
Debbie was able to meet her ABC Child, Sipla Perez, at the celebration. Debbie and her son John have returned to The States.
Everyone enjoyed a lunch of grilled steak, rice and beans. It was great!I am ready to head back to Chichi and Santa Cruz......it is time to get back to other things.
