Pepperdine meets Chutzurob

The group had breakfast at 0700 at Santo Tomas then headed to different clinics. One group group went to Pacaja Xesic and our group went to Chutzurob.

This is the group that went to Chutzurob. We set up 2 medical areas, a dental area and a cleaning area. We prayed with everyone and then we started the clinic!

This young lady always helps us with registering our patients. She and another gentleman came to our educational class in February. It was exciting to see them and I hope that they will continue to participate.

We had 30 medical patients, 9 dental patients and 3 dental cleaning.

After Brian saw this patient, one of the brothers prayed with them.

We talked during the day how much different the prayers are here. People are not afraid to let their prayer be heard. The prayers are very strong and from the heart. It is another lesson that we can learn from the Guatemalans. Our prayers can be strong, with confidence and we do not need to be afraid.

Hebrews 4:14-16----Therefore since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknessess but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are----yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we might receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

We need this mercy and grace more every day.............therefore, let us remain faithful.
