Restaurant Casa Chulumal

This afternoon, Tomasita and I went to eat at her son's restaurant.  It is in a community called, Chulumal, which is not too far from our house.

This is Carlos in front of his restaurant.

We first enjoyed a fruit drink of guava. It was so good!  Carlos asked us how we wanted our steak prepared. We waited a few minutes and then he served us a vegetable soup and garlic bread.  Following the soup, we had our steaks, with potato, rice, guacamole, cheese and tortillas.  After our main course, we had bread with guava jam and coffee. I can not tell you how wonderful it was.

Carlos does not buy any of his food from the market but he buys it from his neighbors.  This serves several purposes.  All of the food is prepared the same day that it is served.

There are several flowers and trees in the yard.  Below the main house and restaurant, is another building that he can serve a group of fifty people.

This is the view from the main house.

This is one of the windows in the large house below.

There are three rooms, and a group of six people can be served in these areas.

It was a great afternoon and I enjoyed the time with Tomasita. Thank you, Tomasita and Carlos!

Tomorrow and Wednesday, we will have the ABC Celebration for the end of the year.  Kemmel said we will have about 1,100 attending.  It will be a fun two days! We will be posting a lot of photos!
