Nursing Dept. and Medical Begins 2023

We had a meeting today begin 2023 which involved the nurses, physicians and health promoters. 

We started the afternoon with lasagna, salad and garlic bread. It is from a small restaurant in Montellano. I am not sure where it is located but they have never disappointed us!

We had about 18 present for the class and everyone seemed to enjoy it with good participation.

 

Darling started with discussing triage.  The promoters need to know what patients need to be seen by the physician first and what patients can safely wait. She reviewed emergencies that can happen in the clinic and how to respond. 

 

Silvia, discussed proper cleaning of the surgical rooms and the observation areas. She also talked about the procedures that are done and how those should be scheduled. She reviewed equipment and supplies in the sterilization room.

Marta finished the afternoon with information about the pharmacy.  The promoters order the medications that they use during the day in a digital program and then it is ready to pick up when they return from clinic.  She discussed how medications should be counted, since we are under stricter guidelines than previously. 

 

It takes everyone's involvement and determination to maintain a safe hospital with a high level of care. Security and maintenance are also involved in improvements.

I will be meeting with everyone in the next week to discuss guidelines and to listen to everyone's thoughts and suggestions on how we can proceed together during this year.
