We met at the Casa del Rey Hotel today. This is the view from the classroom that we had for the day. You can see the cementary of Chichicastenango in the distance.

This is Linda, Mikal, Kemmel and Lisa reviewing before the day began. I met Linda a few years ago after I had first moved to Guatemala. It was good to see her back again and to meet Mikal. They spoke today on abuse and recovery. It is a much needed topic as you can imagine. I have told Lisa, "I am your social worker!" I hope that as we develop our educational program that we can implement some of this material into our classes.
Linda and Mikal speaking to the class. An emphasis was placed on that we were created in the image of God so therefore we have value. When someone is abused, they see themselves as having no value. Through God and His love we can help that person heal.
Tomorrow, we head out to Chutzurob for a medical and dental clinic....................and of course, another adventure!
