Morning in Santo Domingo

This morning, I enjoyed breakfast at the hotel.  They have a nice breakfast buffet, with wonderful juice and excellent coffee.

After breakfast, I headed down the coast.  There is a lighthouse in the far distance. 

This is a monument near the hotel.

It is very colorful.

The traffic is heavy, with four lanes and no crossing lights.  The hotel, Intercontinental Hotel V Centenario, is the largest one on the right.

I had wanted to make it all the way to the lighthouse but the walkway stopped before.

I have found another outside restaurant for dinner tonight.  I will let you know how it is.
