On Friday, one group headed to Sepela to hold clinic in a school. This is exciting because this was our first time of actually seeing students within the classroom setting. A group has prepared activities for the children, will be teaching aspects of Christian Character, creating a mold of their hands and teaching them about Jesus. Unfortunately, this is not something we can so easily do in The States.
Our group headed to Paxot II for a medical and dental clinic. We had 19 medical patients, 43 dental patients and 10 patients for dental cleaning.
Dr. Lesca, from TX, is helping this group prepare to take blood pressures. You may remember Kelsey in the back on the right. She just finished the MET program last week and returned to help us with this clinic. Dr. Lesca went through the MET program a few years back and has also returned to help us with some clinics.
Makayla painted the faces of children and provided entertainment for them.
With those smiles, can you tell this is the dental crew preparing for action???
Connie, from KY, has spent quite a lot of time here in Guatemala on trips with HTI. Here she spends some time in the cooking area with the Guatemala ladies. They were beginning to took our lunch which we enjoyed and appreciated.
This group of children had already had their faces or hands painted.
We returned to Chichi, met for dinner and had a short devotional time together.
We got some information on how tomorrow will go.........so we are ready!
