CELEBRATION---DEVO and LUNCH!

Alright.......let's start our devotional time!  As many know, at 5:15 pm every day, a large group of us prayed fervently for the attainment of the hospital license. After many hurdles, tumalos and bumps during the last few years, and let's NOT forget COVID......we FINALLY are a hospital! God has never stopped blessing Health Talents International, so I wanted to acknowledge Him and be thankful for where we are today. It is because of Him, we are, where we are.

Kemmel welcomed everyone before we started and talked a little about the history of Health Talents.

He asked Valentin to pray.

I invited Marvin to spend the day with us.  He is involved in many different communities, teaching music and he also preaches.  I asked him to talk about waiting and what happens during that process.  While we are waiting, it is difficult, but we are being prepared and hopefully we are developing stronger Christian characteristics.  No one said patience is easy.

Marvin elaborated on a few points and then we would sing a few hymns.  It was a special time of rejoicing.

Victor wrote a song about Health Talents and we have practiced it a few times. The Chichi group received the song too so we had an opportunity to sing it together.

Gaspar had a special gift for the clinic.  Kathyln, his daughter-in-law, presented us with a picture.  Everyone will sign it and then it will be framed.

Then it was time for lunch.
Silvia set out some fresh lime.

Everything was prepared.  Chicharones y pork.

Chili, which I can not tell you how wonderful it was.  Kevin's family made it and we ordered some extra to be delivered in a few days.  We can not eat without chimol.........tomato based sauce with onion, cilantro and seasonings.

Black beans and grilled onions.

The serving line was opened.

Everyone pitched in to clean up!  We have a full day of activities!

Dr. Nehemias helps with dishes and so does Marvin!

We had two cakes but kept them for later in the afternoon.

One was chocolate and one was orange.

After we cleaned the dining area, it was time to go outside and have the day-time fireworks and other activities..........come on!!
