Today, I went to Lemoa and waited for the babies from Panajachel to arrive. Hector called me a few days ago and said he would drive all of the babies to the clinic.
This is Amarilis and her mom. Amarilis is 20 months old and needs two surgeries. Last year, she had heart surgery in Guatemala City and did very well. I am so excited that she is growing and hopefully, we can get her lip done in February.
This is Angelica and she is 7 months old. She also needs to have her lip and palate repaired.
This is Edison. He had his lip and palate repaired with us a few years ago. He still has a small hole in his palate and his mom wants to see if this can be closed. Edison now is 5 years old. I will find one of his baby photos and post it later.
This is Hector Fredy and he needs to have his palate repaired. He is 20 months old. I also need to find his photo from before.
This Marcos and he is 8 months old. He needs his lip and palate repaired.
This is Yony and he is 20 months old. Hopefully, we can get his lip repaired in February. He was born with microcephaly and is blind. We will see what happens when we go to Montellano.
All of the babies were happy today. No one seemed to care as I listened to their heart, lungs and examined them. They will return in January with their lab work.
Tomorrow and Wednesday will be our ABC Celebration. I know the children and their parents will enjoy the day.
