Pepperdine getting ready to begin clinic in Chutzurob.
We only had eight patients and the story went as it often does. There was a party near the clinic. We could hear the music through the day but we still had a good clinic. Sometimes it not the numbers of patients that you see but the effect you have on patients.
Brian examining one child who is 3 years old and is developing slowly.
One older gentleman came for a consult. He feels that all of his health problems are because he is an orphan and due to an illness he had 12 years ago. He remains focused on that. He is determined that his back pain is because of his history. You have to work through issues as this very carefully. You know that the concerns are probably not causing the current illness but you need to be sensitive and respectful to the beliefs.
One lady found out today that she was pregnant. It has been awhile since I have had a lady who was this happy with a positive pregnancy tests. She was beaming the remainder of the time she was in clinic.
This Marvin and he is six years old. He has a cataract in his right eye. What is exciting about this story is that there is a eye surgical clinic in Montellano on March the 12th. Julie called the clinic to confirm there would be room for Marvin. Not only is there room but we were excited to find there will be a pediatric anesthesiologist on the trip!
I will keep you posted on Marvin and what takes place. Hopefully, they will be able to help Marvin. Let's pray for that.
It was a good day! We had safe travels, which we are always thankful for. Tomorrow, will be another day..........another adventure.............with more opportunities to share.
