This morning, Gaspar called and told me that Jessica had died early in the morning. I am so very sad for the family but excited for Jessica.
This young child is now at home with Jesus, no longer suffering. She would not want to lie in bed living as she had been the last few weeks. It was a very difficult situation but now, she is at peace.
I know the parents are hurting but when Jessica was alive, they were also hurting. As I said, it was a difficult situation.
I went to visit Madgna and she had planned to attend worship with me. When she opened the door, I knew something was wrong. She told me her brother died on October 6th, while I was in Florida. She cried and was very upset. She told me that she has lost 2 brothers in 40 days. She had a visitor in her kitchen so I told her that I would return another time to visit.
No matter our age, social status or educational level, eventually we will meet our Lord. Some die when they are children, some die as adults and some will never die but meet the Lord when He returns.
Another fact is that some day, every knee will bow and we will confess. Isaiah first penned it and then Paul in
Romans 14:11-12-- As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before me, every tongue will confess to God. So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.
The question is, "Will we be ready?" We are not guaranteed when it will happen. It may be as a child, or an adult or we may live until He returns.
Just something to think about.

There is nothing worse than loosing a child and burying them. I know because I have done so twice. What gets you through is knowing you can be with them again if you remain faith in Christ. This life is but a vapor and then there is eternity. How glorious it will be. David spoke of this in 2 Sam. 12:22-23 after his child had died.
