As always, the weather in Montellano is different than Chichi. It is hot and humid here and usually in the afternoon it rains hard.
Yesterday, the surgeries began and all went well................and for that we give God the glory. Seven surgeries were done yesterday and ten were done today.
This is Joe Dale from TX talking to Marie. This is Joe's first time down and this is Marie's second home :)
Brian from AK gives report to Barbara from GA about a patient. This is Brian's second time down and Barbara's first time. This is Linda and Gary from Texas. Gary is reading an email about Domingo a young boy that I mentioned a few days ago. Domingo is in Austin and had surgery a couple of weeks ago and has bad a rough road. Gary was reading an email about Domingo, that he would be taken back to surgery again with signs of infection. We did not know that later in the day, Domingo's dad would visit.
This is Pedro praying with a patient and his family. Pedro was guard here for many years and just retired. He continues to return to the clinic to visit and pray with patients.
As I mentioned earlier, Domingo's dad and his brother Govani, visited Gary and Linda today. Domingo was taken to Austin for extensive neuro surgery and his mother, Catarina was able to obtain a VISA to travel with him. Gary and Linda have visited Catarina and Domingo in the hospital in Austin. Catarina only speaks K'iche' but some translators have been found for her.
We had a short prayer with them before they left the clinic.
We ended our day with a devotional by Joe Dale. We prayed for each patient by name and then it was time to get some rest.
Psalms 100:4-5 ------Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures for ever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
